ECA Cashmere Fleece Competition at the VA State Fair, Richmond, VA
September 30, 2008
Entry forms, class schedule, and additional info located at www.statefairva.org.
Entries are due by August 15, 2008. Fleeces must be postmarked by September 1st.
- Pack each fleece in a large 2 gallon zip lock bag. (DO NOT WRITE ON BAGS).
- Include inside the bag with each fleece an index card containing the following information: your name, address, social security number (for cash rewards), goat’s herd code (from farm on which it was born), name, sex, date of birth, and whether fleece was combed or shorn.
- Please also include in box a self-addressed card (BIG lettering) for return mailing of fleeces- if not picked up at fair.
- Entry fee: $6.00 per fleece. Limit of three fleeces per class.

- Find: Goats - Cashmere - Open
- If you are going to submit your entry on-line, click the red button that says "Click here to enter on-line". If you are going to mail in your entry, click the line that says "Competition Guide -- entry form"
- Enter all of the required information on-line.
- If you are going to submit your entry on-line, pay the fee with a credit card. If you are going to mail in your entry, your form must be accompanied by a check made out to "State Fair of Virginia:.
- Print out the completed form
- Submit the completed form online.
- Mail fleeces and completed registration (and if you have not paid on-line, also mail check) by September 1, 2008 to: Beth Creamer, 9806 Croom Road, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772-7808.
Absolutely no fleeces can be submitted at the fair.
